Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a lawyer to buy or sell a home?
Yes, at some point in every real estate transaction, you will need a lawyer, even if it is a private sale. There is enough to think about without having to choose a trustworthy lawyer at the last minute – let Poulson Law guide you through the whole process.
Why do I need estate planning?
Powers of Attorney and wills offer peace of mind in knowing that you’ve made decisions now about the people who may have to make decisions for you in the future; they ensure that your wishes are known and your affairs will be properly looked after. Estate planning ultimately benefits everyone – both you and your loved ones.
Is this going to be really expensive?
In some cases, like real estate, we offer a flat rate that includes all fees, disbursements and closing costs. The cost for other legal services can vary, but we are always honest, open and transparent about our fees. Never hesitate to contact us – we will be happy to discuss everything up front.
What do I have to bring to a meeting?
Our lines of communication are always open to our clients, and we will let you know in advance if there are any materials or documents you may need to bring to an appointment. It is our job to guide you through unfamiliar legal processes and make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Do you do any other kinds of law?
We do not do family, criminal, or personal injury law. If you have any further questions about the legal services outlined on our website, we encourage you to contact us.
